Statement: I have a passion for helping younger generations grow their love for the game. I strive to be the coach players rely on and remember as they grow in their game. Travel volleyball is a place where memories, friendships, and development will be formed to grow you into a great individual on and off the court. My goal as a coach is to help those traits flourish and thrive in a healthy, encouraging environment. I hope to give these players a positive reminder of why they started to play volleyball in the first place. I can’t wait to meet everyone and grow greater in your skill and character!

Over the past 15 years I have coached volleyball, basketball, and softball for the Starr Athletic Association. I am from Canton, Ohio and I have lived in the Anderson area for 26 years. I have been married for 27 years and have two daughters. The oldest is currently the has played with A-Town for 10
years. The youngest will play her 7th year of volleyball with A-Town this year. Being involved at these two levels has allowed me to watch many players grow. It has taught me how to interact with each player to get the best out of them. I tell all my players that practice never
ends. Practice is about what an individual is willing to do to improve when no one else is around. The time a player puts in outside of practice is just as important as the time spent at regular practice, for this is what will set you apart from other players.

Years Coaching & Experience: 25+ years.  Started coaching club volleyball in Western North Carolina in 1999, and continued coaching as the Head coach at North Henderson High School in 2000.  Over the past 20 years has been on coaching staff at Montreat College, Head coach Anderson Christian Academy, Head coach Westside High School, and Asst. coach TLHanna High School.  In 2002 started a volleyball specific business running private sessions, clinics and camps around North and South Carolina.  In 2010 came along side Husband Jason Freeze to continued to grow ATown Volleyball Academy for ages 6-adults.
